Jerry loved basketball and played on church and recreational teams as well as in his parents’ driveway with his siblings, nieces, nephews, and friends. He was naturally athletic and enjoyed most sports, but basketball was a favorite. Many a late-night Lakers game replay was watched on a black and white TV. He was naturally gifted with music and could pick up playing instruments easily, such as the guitar and violin.
He was not a big talker but he loved to tease and joke, especially when it came to his team, the Steelers, or smack talking any sport when he was making his sports bets. He also enjoyed food and cooking and reminiscing about his favorite dishes growing up.
Jerry had a great love and loyalty for friends and family alike and would go out on a limb to help. He quietly and consistently expressed love and gratitude for all that was his life. He will be greatly missed by all those who loved him.
