Fifteen participants were recognized on April 7, 2025, for completing the Nez Perce Tribe’s TERO/TYAP Heavy Highway Construction Trades Academy, earning certifications in equipment operation, safety, and construction readiness.
TERO/TYAP Graduation Recognizes Heavy Highway Construction Trainees
On April 7, 2025, the Nez Perce Tribe hosted a graduation ceremony at Sacred Heart Church Hall in honor of the 2025 class of the Tribal Employment Rights Office (TERO) and Tribal Youth Apprenticeship Program (TYAP) Heavy Highway Construction Trades Academy. The training was conducted in partnership with the Baker Technical Institute (BTI) and took place from March 4 to April 7, 2025.
The academy provided intensive, hands-on instruction and certification in the following areas:
Fifteen graduates were recognized during the ceremony, with remarks from TERO/TYAP staff and program partners. Family, friends, and witnesses were invited to celebrate their achievements.
These graduates leave the academy with the skills, certifications, and readiness to pursue employment in the heavy construction trades. Their dedication, hard work, and success were celebrated by all in attendance.
