Congratulations to Private Ryan Lockart, an enrolled member of the Nez Perce Tribe, who recently finished his training and earned his Infantry cross rifle pin with the US Army.
The United States crossed rifle pin is a distinctive symbol worn by members of the Infantry branch. It represents the individual’s affiliation with the infantry and symbolizes their expertise and dedication to the profession of arms. He will earn his blue cord, a symbol of honor and recognition for infantryman, in which his Grandfather Marcus Oatman Jr. will pin on him during his Turning Blue Ceremony signifying the completion of his Army infantry training.
After his graduation taking place at the National Infantry Museum at Ft Moore, GA, he will move on to Airborne school and then Special Forces training.
Ryan is a 2022 graduate from Kamiah High School and played one year of college baseball on a full scholarship for McPherson College before deciding to join the US Army. He is the son of Neil and Star Lockart, grandson of Bonnie and Marcus Oatman Jr., and Jon and Irene Lockart all of Kamiah.
Ryan and his wife Keily Lockart currently reside in Las Vegas, Nevada. However, they will start his military career at his first duty station, which is still pending due to training schedules.
Please join his dad, mom, brother Dillon Lockart, wife, and grandparents in congratulation him on his AMAZING accomplishment!
