Moscow, ID – James “Junior” Greene, a Nez Perce Tribal Member, recently qualified for the 2026 National Collegiate Wrestling Championships. As a wrester for the University of Idaho, Greene will travel to Bossier City, Louisiana next week to represent his Tribe, school, and community.
Greene has been perfecting his skills since he was a child. At just 5 years old, he started training with the Moscow Wrestling Club. He was also a high school wrestler for the Moscow Bears, earning over 100 career varsity wins. As a senior, he earned 2nd place in the Idaho High School 5A State Wrestling Championship.
Greene is the son Kristine Attao and James Greene and grandson of Liz Arthur-Attao and Gina Rickman.
His sister +Rosario, and his grandfathers- +Vicente Attao and +Jeff Greene have made their journey. He dedicates his wrestling career to honor and remember each of them.
