The Nez Perce Tribe Wildlife Division is pleased to share that winter wolf intern Kendra Moses has been selected for a paid summer internship with Oregon State University in collaboration with the Columbia River Inter-Tribal Fish Commission (CRITFC), focusing on coastal oceanography.
Kendra was one of only two Native students selected for this competitive opportunity. During the internship, she will work with ocean datasets, monitor coastal and estuarine ecosystems, and continue building on the research skills she has developed through her work with the Wildlife Division.

The internship is funded through CRITFC’s Coastal Margin Observation and Prediction program and will be conducted in partnership with Oregon State University’s College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences.
The Wildlife Division also recognizes the support of Raequel, who shared the opportunity with Kendra and encouraged her to apply, reflecting the strong collaboration and mentorship within the Himiin team.
Following the completion of her internship, Kendra will begin classes this fall at Oregon State University. The Tribe celebrates her achievement and looks forward to her continued success. Congratulations! We are cheering you on!
