Sarah Louise Dickson Manzano

Sarah Louise Dickson Manzano was born October 12, 1929 in Lewiston, Idaho and was raised in Kamiah. She passed away peacefully on June 15, 2026 at her home in Seattle, Washington. Daughter of Reverend James G. Dickson and Josephine Corbett Dickson, and granddaughter of Paul Corbett and Lydia Smith Corbett, Sarah loved spending time at Talmaks, going out to restaurants, sending and receiving cards, traveling, flowers, watching westerns and classic movies, and most of all, being with her family. Reading Our Daily Bread brought her comfort during times of hardship and helped her feel better overall.

Throughout her life, Sarah cared deeply for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and beyond, working hard to ensure her family had what they needed even when times were tough, and showing her love and support for each and every one of them. After moving to Seattle when she was 12, she would eventually raise all 8 of her children in the busy city – spending her career in professional housekeeping services until she would retire at the age of 74 in 2003. In her retirement, Sarah could do more of what she loved to do, enjoying life with her favorite pastimes and being with her loved ones.

She is survived by her daughter Lorrie Salud (Jim), daughter Linda Demmert, son Daniel Egger, daughter Lydia Egger, son Malcolm Egger (Vivian), daughter Marcy Valencia, daughter Teresa Manzano Ng (Charles), and son Andre Manzano. She had 22 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Anna May Dickson, Grace Dickson Wilson, and Lydia Dickson Allen; brother Reverend Carl Dickson, 4 grandsons, 1 great-grandson, and 1 great-granddaughter. Sarah was 96 years of age.
