Nimiipuu Health Annual Suicide Awareness & Remembrance Walk Engages Community

Over 185 participants joined Nimiipuu Health’s annual Suicide Awareness & Remembrance Walk on Sept. 24, which featured vendor booths, a memorial table, and yard signs with messages like “You Matter” and “You Are Enough.”

On September 24, 2025, Nimiipuu Health hosted its annual Suicide Awareness & Remembrance Walk at the Lapwai High School track.
The walk honored survivors, remembered those lost, and supported individuals who continue to struggle, while inviting community members to share messages of hope.

The event drew over 185 participants, demonstrating the community’s strong commitment to mental health awareness.
Informational booths offered resources from Nimiipuu Health Behavioral Health, Idaho North Central Public Health, the SPIN Program, and Safe Start.
A memorial table provided a quiet space to honor loved ones, and yard signs with encouraging messages such as “You Matter” and “You Are Enough” lined the route to inspire participants.

This annual gathering highlights the ongoing commitment to mental health awareness and the importance of community support and accessible services.
